"My son first attended KCHS in term 3 Year 7 back in 2003. Due to some behavioral issues he had only been attending his previous school on a part time basis. I was very disillusioned with the education system letting my son down again and again with lack of support for him and his family and it's failure in adequately addressing his needs and offering a curriculum that was suited to his learning requirements and social skills.
From day 1 he attended KCHS on a full time basis, and while we had our ups and downs, the staff at KCHS constantly supported and encouraged my son, not only academically but socially and personally. I was, and still am, amazed at watching my son transform from a frustrated and "labeled" child, to a confident and competent young man.
My son finished Year 12 VCAL in 2008 while still attending KCHS. An achievement he once would never have thought possible and one he would not have gained without the amazing staff at KCHS. He is now deciding on what career path to take in life and has a very bright future in front of him full of possibilities he would never have had without KCHS."

"As parents of a child who attends KCHS, we were overwhelmed by how quickly our son had settled into this school. Since then he has developed academically and socially. The teachers and staff have created an environment that supports his needs, his abilities and his creativeness. Curriculum is constantly reviewed, which sometimes means either updating or implementing relevant programs, that created more opportunities for our son. The teachers and staff are clearly focused on boosting students confidence, delivering a positive message to all by giving more of themselves to support the students. The school community has supported and met our concerns by addressing whatever issues we may have had by working together to encourage a positive outcome for our son. Our son who has a severe learning disability, can now see a never ending light of possibilities..."

"My daughter attended the school in the past and my grandson attends it now. The quality of teaching for students who are having trouble with learning of behavioural problems due to the way of teaching in mainstream schools is made easier due to the patience and ability of the staff at KCHS. I have been on the school council for the past 20 years and held all the positions. As a parent/grandparent what I've seen the staff do with the students in their teaching skills is unbelievable. Students who have a learning disability are catered for at their own level and are taught at their own level. I would recommend parents who have a student with these problems get in touch with the school as they will not be sorry with the final results. I personally would recommend the school to anyone as it helped my family so much."
