We are extremely lucky to have the following organisations provide extra training and educational support for us:
The Victorian Applied Learning Association provides us with engaging 'hands-on' resources for engaging young people in an alternate curriculum which focuses on developing employability skills through practical project-based learning tasks.
Bovis Lend Lease developed the new Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. To find out more about this amazing opportunity that students of KCHS participated in, click here.
Students participate in a variety of career programs.
KCHS has a student teacher partnership with VU, along with social worker students, and now, a literacy focused story telling workshop.
The Melbourne Moonee Valley Local Learning and Employment Network has facilitated a range of strategies engaging other partners to review curriculum and support student pathways through the Student Outcomes – Change Project and mentoring. The M&MVLLEN and partners continue to support the implementation of changes.
North Melbourne Community Center provides us with great indoor and outdoor sporting facilities including a fully equipped gym with cardio and resistance training equipment, indoor courts, recreation room and a large outdoor soccer field to use.
Doutta Galla Community Health assist us in providing expert knowledge and teaching resources including guest presenters related to a variety of health and wellbeing orientated topics for young people.
CASA House provide our staff with the support needed to respond effectively to students who have experienced sexual abuse. School staff facilitate the six-week (SAPPSS - Sexual Assault Prevention Program for Secondary Schools), program which is integrated into student curriculum.
